The initial arrangements are under way, spearheaded by Hon. Husun Banu Ghazanfar, Minister of Women’s Affairs. The appointment of members to the Board would be for a minimum period of one year and will consist of fifty identified members who would be on a quarterly basis.
Currently and prior to the formal establishment of the Board, three committees have been set up; one for drafting the constitution / working procedure for the Board, marking of International Women’s Day 2010, and preparations around Beijing + 15.
